Healthy eating-the key to a fitter body
People are becoming more and more conscious of the need to look after their bodies and keep as fit and healthy as they can. Some turn to exercise as a way to do this and enrol in a gym or take up running but for some individuals exercising in this way is not possible perhaps because they have health issues that prevent them from exerting stress on particular parts of the body such as knees or because their personal circumstances mean they do not have the time so can just eating a healthy diet give us a fitter body?
The answer to this question is not straightforward because although eating healthily is vitally important to our wellbeing a certain amount of exercise is also necessary if we want to keep our bodies fit however some people find that when they embark on a healthy eating plan after a while they feel more energised and want to take some form of exercise even if this is simply walking, swimming or gentle stretching exercises.
So, what are the best foods to eat to help keep our bodies in tip top condition? As in most cases it is all about balance as no foods should be off limits. A balanced diet containing plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meat and fish, complex carbohydrates and good fats are the building blocks for a healthy diet.
