Healthy start to a new year

With the new year just around the corner, it may be that you have decided you need a bit of a health kick and want to start looking after yourself more. It may be that you have been feeling tired a lot recently or find that you always seem to get ill or maybe you have put on weight and no longer feel as fit as you used to. Whatever the reason, a new year is always a good time to start a new regime.

Don’t pressure yourself in to thinking that you have to start on the 1st January as often there is still Christmas activities and events you are attending along with plenty of nice foods and drinks that are all too tempting. Instead maybe give yourself a few days to get out of the Christmas spirit. If you have been off work then you may decide to start your new healthy lifestyle in line with returning to work as this can be a good distraction too. If you are looking to up your exercise, then you may want to consider joining a gym. Lots of gyms have offers on in January to tempt people in such as a free month or no sign up fees, so it’s a good time to join.
